My Stampin Up! tree

Here's my Stampin Up! Christmas tree out in the Paper Palace.  I made all the ornaments except one that I got at convention a couple of years ago.

Here's a close up of some of the ornaments.

Here's a couple of pages out of the Christmas scrapbook.  This first one is the only one that has any stamping on it so if you know anyone who would like to make a scrapbook this one is super simple.

And here's a couple more pages.  If you want to take this class you must let me know by evening of Dec 1st so that I can order the supplies.

Christmas ornament

Here's a cute little Christmas ornament or a package tag.  First of all you'll need the two tag punches.  Now punch out eight shapes like the ones above.

Now your going to glue these shapes down onto some paper or cardstock.  You can use any colors or prints that you like.  This is some of last years DSP.  This is also beautiful in silver glimmer paper on velumn.  Anyway, you glue the first four pieces down in a square like above.  Line up the angles at the top of the shape.

Now your going to add the second layer of the last four tags.  Line them up like the picture above.  Check the bottom of the tag and try to keep them even.

Here's the two layers of all eight tags glued down to the paper.

Now it's time to start cutting off the part that you don't want.  I'm not sure how to explain it but your cutting away the bottom of each tag leaving the points.

And here's the final product all cut out.  It's really quite simply.  Once you've tried it you'll probably want to make a bunch of them.  One little hint.  You don't need to put glue on the bottom of the tag because your going to cut that off anyway.  So now you have a tree ornament or a package tag.

Hurrah!!!!

I'm of two minds today about what to post.  Regina and I put one of the dressers together today and I love it.  Then I had to leave to go to Chesaning and just when I was ready to leave she came back with Garret to work some more.  Then she said that Todd came and helped them and when I got home all the dressers were put together and they're wonderful.  So here's some pictures of the before and after of the Paper Palace.  Of course now I have a lot of sorting to do and putting things away.

You can't really tell the difference in the floor from these pictures but now it's a nice sand color with light and dark sprinkles in it.   And tomorrow I'll post the Christmas ornament that I made today.

Black Friday

Did you all get up early or stay up late to go shopping?  I'm not into losing sleep and I'm not planning on doing any shopping today.  I'm hoping to see some people come here and put together dressers.  I had a few tell me they would come so we'll see what happens.  I'm going to be busy getting ready for a vendor show tonight.  I still haven't been doing any stamping but I thought you might like to see something so here's a card that I really like.  It was made by Ann Schach.  And it's beautiful like all of her creations.

Hope you have a great day.

Online Extravaganza

Well, here it is the day before Thanksgiving and I've got a list about a mile long of things that I need to get done today.  But I wanted to remind you about the Online Extravaganza that is going on right now.  You've already missed out on the Simply Scoring Tool and the cookie press but have you looked at the rest of the list.  Just click on the Hot Holiday Deals button on the right to see what's on sale.  Then go to my Stampin Up! web page (www.lynnschulz.stampinup.net) to order online or let me know what you want and I'll order it for you.
One of the things that I'm excited about is the ribbon bundle.  If you like the Scalloped Dots ribbon then check it out.  There a bundle with Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler, Chocolate Chip and Old Olive at 30% off.  Now is the time to stock up.  And there's a bundle of Glimmer Brads.  Get the brads in Basics, Bright and Subtles at 30% off.
I don't have any stamping for you but the dressers were delivered yesterday.  Now I just need to find someone to put them together for me.  Hopefully before next Weds. so that I have lots of time to get ready for tag class.

Home at Last

Finally got home last night about 8:30.  But of course we didn't come right, straight home.  We got into Detroit Metro about 1:20 and then I wanted to go to IKEA.  You know how it is.  We're close, so we should go.  Besides, there were some things that I wanted.  Like some 4 drawer dressers that are going to be the bottom part of my storage system in the Paper Palace. Oh, and Kris got the floor done while I was gone.  It's now a nice light sand color with darker sprinkles in it.  Anyway, back to IKEA.  I was so tired that I couldn't think straight so we took a break and went to Chili's and got something to eat.  Back to IKEA.  Got the dressers ordered and they'll be here tomorrow.  So instead of moving things back into the Paper Palace I'm going to be trying to find someone to help me assemble the dressers.  But it will be so worth it when everything is put together and things are moved back into place.
I'll post the rest of my Disney picture today on Facebook.  You can go there and look at them.  I just need to find a flat place to set the laptop up.
NOW, on to Stamping.  Today Stampin Up! announced a big shopping extravaganza in time for the holidays.  Just go to my Stampin Up! web pager here   www.lynnschulz.stampinup.net   and check out the great deals.  You can order online or let me know what you need but this is a time sensitive offer so be sure to check to see when things are on sale.  Some things are only offered for 24 hours and some are for a few days.  And some things are up to 60 % off.  What a deal.  I'll try and highlight different things each day.  So here's the first thing to know.  The Simply Scoring tool and the Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamps are 20 % off on Nov. 21st only.  That's today so check it out.  If you've never seen the Simply Scoring Tool it's the greatest thing for scoring paper.  It makes everything so much easier so think about it.

I'm so tired

I didn't post last night because I was to tired.  I'll almost be glad to get home so I can get some sleep.  Today is the last day and we're going to the Animal Kingdom.  And then tonight we've got to get our bording passes printed, make arrangements to be picked up, get all our packages from the gift shop and pack my suitcases.  I know I'll make it but I'll never make plane reservations for so early in the morning again.  I won't post any pictures today but if you go to Facebook I'm going to put up a Disney album.  And then next week hopefully I'll get back to Stamping.

Oh no, it's Thurs.

This is the hot air balloon that Diane and Rolayne went up in last night.

Today we went to Epcot and I was a bad influence on them.  One of my favorite things to do at Disney is to get a pearl.  So we each got one in Japan and had them set in jewelry.  You get to pick the oyster out yoursel and they make quite a ceremony out of it.

We had lunch in England today.  Fish and chips.  This is the first time I've ever tried it here at Disney.  It was very good.  To bad there were so many mouths to feed.  We ate outside and there were tons of birds just waiting to join us.
We rode a few rides in Future World and then we went to the World Showcase.  Made it a little more than half way around the world today.  We'll hit the rest tomorrow.

It's early Thursday morning.

It's early Thurs morning and I never posted anything last night because I didn't have any pictures to show you and it was late when we got back to the resort.  Laurel, Connie, Julie, Rolayne and I spent the day at Typhoon Lagoon.  Donna had a headache so she just hung around the resort (also, she doesn't like the water).  Diane went to Universal with a friend of hers.  What a sweetheart.  She brought me some Harry Potter pins for my collection.  Someday Garret and I are going to go there.
Rolayne went into the wave pool with me but after she got knocked down twice she gave it up.  We all had to go the the Pearl Factory and get a pearl.  We each got a fairly big one and Laurel's was blue.  We decided to head back to the resort about 4:00 and Diane got there about the same time.  We had a quick shower and then headed to Downtown Disney for supper.  When we got there Diane and Rolayne decided to go for a hot air balloon ride.  The rest of us chickens just sat and watched.  Diane loved it and Rolayne looked a little green when she got off.  We went back to Planet Hollywood for supper because Connie had a card from one of the waiters that offered immediate seating.  We got to sit in a small little alcove all by ourselves.  It was good because the music wasn't quite as loud.  Today we're going to Epcot.  Maybe.  I ate a chocolate bar late last night and it didn't really agree with me.  Anyway I hope that's all it is.

Disney Magic

Today we went to Disney Studios and we pretty much accomplished everything we wanted to do.  We walked about 8 miles according to Connie's pedometer.  Right now the girls are in the bathroom trying to get a picture of them all with their feet in the jacuzi.

Diane took this picture of us in our 3-d glasses waiting to ride Star Wars.

After Fantasmic we went back to the New York streets to see the Osburn Family lights.  Here's a couple of pictures.

Day 2 of Disney

What a day.  We were at the Magic Kingdom from the time the gates opened until 11:00pm.  It was 1:30 before we went to bed.  But my internal clock says it's time to get up.  No one else is stirring.  Except the guy who mows the golf course right outside our door.
We had a great time.  Rolayne rode Big Thunder Mountain with us for the first time and then Diane rode Splash Mountain with Laurel and I.  Her first time ever on any kind of roller coaster.  We saw two parades and the fireworks.  The castle is already lit for Christmas and it's beautiful.  I'm going to try and post a video on Facebook.  It'll be a first for me if it works.
Here's a few pictures.

]
If course we had to have a picture of Captain Jack.

Donna trying to get a group picture.  She must have had a wide angle lens.  I'm safe to say that because I wasn't in the picture.

The castle.

Laurel and Rolayne waiting for the Tiki Bird Show.  One of Laurel's favorites.

Day 1 of Disney

Here we are with a really nice guy that we met.  We were in front of the World of Disney store.  After we spent some money here we went to Planet Hollywood for supper.  It was really good food but way to loud.  Then we had a bus trip back to the resort on a bus that had no generator and was running on batteries only.  But we made it back and now we're trying to decide what time we want to get up in the morning.  Some say the earlier the better.  Some are saying "what about noon"?

Last of the stockings

Yesterday was class day and so this is the last picture of stockings.  But if you check out Tamie Ackerson's blog she's got a couple of really cute stocking cards and they aren't Christmas.

These are the cards that we did in class.  You've probably seen a couple of these already.   I might find a card to post tomorrow but then it'll all be DISNEY.   For a whole week.  Yipee!!!!

What a mess.

I've got a king size mess in the Paper Palace.  And I'm exhausted.  But on the other hand I've found a ton of things that I haven't seen in a while.  But got to get it under control so I can have stamp camp tomorrow.  I'm hoping that Garret will come over for a while and help me carry some of the heavy stuff.  And tomorrow is the day so here's one more stocking card.

Well, bummer.  I saved this card off the internet somewhere and I didn't know it would be so small.  It's a really cute card with the stocking punch used to make ice skates.  I have not seen the punch used this way before but I will definately be making some cards with ice skates.
Well, gotta go haul in some more stuff.  At least it's been a beautiful afternoon.

Monday's card

Okay, I missed a day.  It was so late last night when I got home I just went to bed and never thought about this blog.  Yesterday I went to church and then my sister, cousin and I went to Midland for a Christmas concert.  It was wonderful and then afterwards we went out to supper with friends that we only see once a year.  We went to Bennigans and I had 1/2 a Monte Cristo sandwich and a bowl of baked potato soup.  It was delicious and I recommend it heartily.
So here's today's card.

It's the weekend finally.

Did you ever have one of those weeks when there was just so much to do that you didn't want to do.  I did get a lot accoplished but I really had to push myself.  So today I'm just sitting here in the Paper Palace stamping and creating and generally being lazy.  Here's today's stocking card.  I'm all done designing cards for Thurs class so I feel like I'm really ahead.  And it's a good thing because on the 12th we're leaving for Florida and while we're gone the floor in the Paper Palace is going to get painted.  Which means that everything has to be moved out.  My living room will probably look like a disaster area but then when I get home I can start organizing things.

Thanks to Sandi Dailey for this card.

Here's Friday's card

When we went to Ronda's Creative Convention last month we had a swap with a stocking theme.  The above card is the one that won the card contest.

And Tues. night was our regular Rubber Queens meeting and this card won the card contest at the meeting.  It was made by Heidi Wilkins.  Aren't those the best birds you've ever seen?

Another card

Well, today is the last chance to RSVP for the stocking stamp camp.  And here's another card.  I'll keep posting them until next Thurs.

Isn't that a pretty doily?  Can you guess what it is?  There's some designer paper that has a sheet of pink and one of orange doily pattern.  This is one of the doily's cut apart and turned over so your seeing the white side.  And it doesn't show up very well but the top, heel and toe of the stocking are punched out of the silver glitter paper.

Here is Weds. card   And tomorrow is the last day to RSVP for the stamp camp where we'll use the stocking stamp set and punch.  Check out my schedule on the right hand sidebar for more details.
And be sure to check out the hostess special.  It's a great time to be a hostess.  If you have a workshop of $350.00 or more then you get an extra $35.00 to spend.
And did you know that I have gift certificate's available?  If you would like some stamping supplies for Christmas but want to pick out your own things then this is a good deal for you.  Just have people call me for gift certificates.  And if you know someone that you want to get a gift for then a gift certificate is the perfect gift.  One size fits all.

It's Tuesday

Here's today's card and it's also the first Tues of the month, which means that we have a Rubber Queens meeting tonight.  It's always so much fun.  If you want to join us just let me know.  We'd love to have you visit or better yet, join up.
