About Me

I love the Coastal Cabana cardstock as you can see from these two cards.

This cute punch card is one that I saw somewhere online and copied.  The thing that I find surprising about this card is the nipple.  Do you recognize it?  It's the ornament punch from a couple of years ago.  I've said it before and I'll say it again.  I'm sure glad that there are people who see things different from what they are.

Here's a little 4 X 4 card using the hostess stamp set called Making A Point.  And because this isn't a standard size card we needed to make an envelope to go along with it.

Here's a couple of cards from Thurs. card class.

This first card is made with the Watercolor Wonder stamp set and the Watercolor Wonder designer paper.  And the wonderful Scalloped Tag Topper punch.  Love that punch.  For this design you just put the paper in without trimming it first.  It goes in kind of hard but it will go.  And after you punch the paper just trim off the excess.

And thanks to Joanne Jeeter for showing us this cool technique.  The lion is on fun foam.  You get your stamp inked up and then heat the fun foam before you stamp it.  Heat the foam until it starts to curl up and then stamp it, pressing down hard.  The image is stamped and embossed.  It looks like leather.  I sponged it a little to add a little distressing.  It's beautiful so go ahead and try it.

Oops!

I thought that I had goofed up on this card but it turned out better than I had planned.  The first thing that I should be doing is laying out the layers before I adhere them.  Oh no, I just put the DSP on and then the scalloped strip.  Then I added the butterfly.  So far, so good.  But then I added the greeting and it was way off balance.  I thought that I would just chalk it up as live and learn but then I decided that it just needed something at the top to balance it.  So I added the little punched butterfly's.  And I like it.  Now I'm thinking that I could do a few more card like this, maybe in other colors.  The butterfly is out of the Best of 25 set of butterflies and it's retiring on March 31st.  So if you like butterfly's then you need to get it ordered in the next week.  Like maybe Thurs at card class.

My Paper Pumpkin

This is the bag from last month.  Just to remind you there were 5 bags in the kit and all the decorations.

Here's this month's kit.  Supplies to make 8 cards with envelopes.  I love the gold liners for the envelopes and if you cut the bottom off you can use it somewhere else and the envelopes are still beautiful.  There's always stamps and ink spots in each kit and this kit has wooden cut outs to use.  There were four that said "congrats" and four that said "thank you"

And here's a card made to the directions.  See the little glitter dots.  I might save the rest of these to use somewhere else.  Or I could just punch some out and use them.

Do you like the wooden congrats?  I used glue dots to attach it.  This one will probably be a graduation card because that's coming up fast.  So if you've got questions about My Paper Pumpkin just give me a call.  And if you're a new subscriber then you get the In Color markers free if you sign up before March 31st.

I love stamping but there are other things that I love as much.  And since I don't have any new cards to show you I thought that I would tell you about one of my other loves.
Tea Parties.
Check my boards on Pinterest and you'll a board for tea parties where I've posted a bunch of pictures of tea parties and tea sets.  I love tea parties.
So here's a picture of an Easter tea party.  Hope this inspires you to get out the good china and brew a cup of tea.

If I don't get to distracted maybe I'll post some recipie's for scones and shortbread.

Hexagon HIve

Here's another card that we did last week at card class.  This uses the Hexagon Hive thinlit die and the Petite Petals stamp set and punch.  The Hexagon Hive is available in the Occasions mini and the Petite Petals stamp set and punch were both free out of the Sale A Bration mini.  You can get either one free with a $50.00 order.  I did figure out that the thinlit works best with a sheet of wax paper between the card stock and the die.  I went a little wild with the flowers but they are so cute and easy that I couldn't resist.  A couple of the flowers were stamped on and the rest were punched out.  I used  the Water Color paper when I punched some of them.

Card Class

Here's two of the cards that we did at card class on Thurs.  There are so many talented ladies in the Rubber Queens that we will never run out of ideas.  These two cards are ones that I got in a swap at our last demo meeting.  I love them and so I used them for card class.

The pizza card is punch art from Joanne Jeeter.  Everyone thought that I should have made plans for a pizza delivery because the card made them hunry.

This card is from Julie Casper and it won the card contest at our meeting.  I love this Watercolor Designer Series Paper.  It's all so pretty.
I'll post some more pictures tomorrow.
