Rudolph

Here's a cute Christmas card made by Linda Parker.  It's all punch art with some music DSP for the back ground.  I think he's very cute.

I'm off to a craft show tomorrow.  If any of you are in the Bannister area come to the ZCBJ Hall tomorrow for great crafts and good food.  And BAKERY.

This is my display wall all set up with Christmas cards.  I've got more but they won't all fit on the wall.  Feel free to come to the Paper Palace and look at the cards.  Tomorrow is card class so it would be a great time to visit.

Here's a close up of one of the cards.  I'll try to post some everyday but you all know how I am.

Not sure if you can see it in the picture but this card looks like a snow globe.  It's beautiful.

Another Bethlehem card

Here's one more Night in Bethlehem card.  Sandi Dailey made this card and I love it because it's so simple to make.  It looks like a snow globe and all she did was stamp the image on a round piece of card stock and the base is cut out with one of our punches and then cut into two pieces length ways.  I think I'll be doing this card at my next Christmas card class.

Night in Bethlehem

Here's another beautiful card made with the Night in Bethlehem stamp set and the Bethlehem framelit dies.  This was made by Browyn Easley.  I love this card.

Holiday Catalog is live

The holiday catalog went live yesterday so now you can order any or all of it whenever you want.  Here's my first two samples out of the Holiday catalog.  The stamp set is Night in Bethlehem and the edgelits are Bethlehem dies.  I fooled around a lot with this card putting all the Daffodil Delight card stock behind the windows.  And then I put the greeting on and darn it, it's crooked.  I'll have to figure out how to cover it.  But I still really love this set.

This candle is one of the battery operated one so it'll never burn down.  And it looks really cool when it's lit.

I'm going to try and post more things made with this set and then I'll move on to other things out of the Holiday catalog.

Christmas cards

Here's the first card from my Christmas in July class that I had a couple of weeks ago.  This is the Flurry of Wishes stamp set out of the annual catalog.  Last year there was a punch that co-ordinated with the two smaller stamps in the set.  The stamps were on one stamp and the punch cut them both out at one time.  The punch retired so I cut the two stamps apart so that I could use them randomly where ever I wanted to.  The pink base is Powder Pink and the gray is Smoky Slate.  It's not a traditional color combo but I really like it.

Love Today planner

I don't know about you but I love to use a planner.  When I was working it was a necessary item because I had so much to keep track of.  Now it's necessary because my memory isn't as good as it used to be.  I try to write down everything that I might want to do sometime.
So here is the planner that I'm using right now.  It's from Stampin' Up! and it's on pages 12 and 13 in the annual catalog.  It's very sturdy and I love how they've put the gold metal corner protectors on it.  I had one of the gold floral stickers out of the pack on here but I must have rubbed it against something and the gold foil started coming off.  So I just pulled it all off and now I have a white flower.

When it comes you have to put all the pages in but there's a guide to help you figure it out.  Each month has a divider page like this.  It's heavy vinyl so you can write on it or put stickers on it.  I've put a few stickers in mine but I'll probably do some more as time goes on.

Here's the first page of each month.  You can use the five different sections to keep track of different things.  Ex. milage, postage, etc.

Here's the whole month at a glance.  You'll have to put in the dates yourself.  This is so that you can start it when ever you want to.  I started mine with July because I didn't want to wait for a new year to use it.  There are refills available so you'll be able to use this planner for a long time.

Lets go back to the previous page.  I said that you could use it to keep track of things but I decided to just decorate mine.  So here my Sept page.  I think I'll try to do the rest of them with something of the seasons.  But this stamp set is great for creative people like Stampin' Up! demonstrators.

And it doesn't show up much but I added some stamping on the calendar page.

And here's one of my favorite parts.  I didn't show you a blank page but here I decorated the daily pages with Washi tape.  I think it just makes it stand out more.  I added the up and down divider so that I can keep track of Stampin' Up! things on the left side and everything else on the right side.  I also think that from now on as I do more pages I'm going to try and use Washi tape that is color appropriate to the different times of the year.

And here's some of the other items that you'll get with your planner.  There's a couple of pocket pages, some stickers, a couple of photo pages and some sticky notes.  And they all co-ordinate with the floral design of the planner. There's also a really nice divider that you can take out and move to a new spot to keep track of where you're at.  Well, guess what.  I've already misplace it.  I'll keep looking and it'll turn up someday.  I really think that if you like planners you'll love this one.

And a close up of some of the little stickers.

Have you ever gotten something in a box that was so nice that you just couldn't throw it away?  Here's a couple of boxes that I got recently.  This first one came from the eye doctor's office.  It had my new glasses in it.  It was already black and all I did was add the gold die cuts.  You probably recognize the Flourish Thinlits.  I used the multipurpose adhesive sheets on the back of the gold foil.

Here's another box that I just had to keep.  This box had my new cell phone in it.  There were stickers on the top, sides and bottom so I had to cover them with designer series paper.  I love the Lemon Lime Twist paper.  I could probably have done a fancier medallion on the top but I couldn't wait.  I might change it later.  Not sure what I'll do with these boxes but I'm sure that sometime a birthday or Christmas will come along and I'll find a present to put in them.

So don't throw away those good boxes.  And my next recycle project will be with the boxes below.  Another great thing to recycle is the box that Paper Pumpkin comes in.  I've got a stack of them and I have recycled a few of them for presents.  So think of all the things that can be recycled with paper and stamps and die cuts and all of the other great Stampin' Up! products.

June card class

Here's the cards that we'll be doing this week at card class.

Lots of new product on these cards.  My favorite one is the upper left corner.  I love the marbled background and I didn't make a mess with shaving cream.

Sunday, June 18, 2017

Well, wasn't yesterday a funny day?  Or are you going to tell me that it was a great day.  I was at Ashley for the Trading Days Festival sitting in the village office when someone said "oh my gosh.  Look at that"  The storm came up so fast that people didn't have time to run for cover.  It stormed so bad that we couldn't see anything.  And then to top it off my niece called me and said that I shouldn't try to get home because she didn't think I could get there.  She said that there were trees down everywhere and there was no power.  She called me later and said that she had gotten to my house and everything looked okay.  Thank you Jesus.  No one was hurt but there was lots of damage in the neighbor hood.  Here's a couple of pictures of the house just down the road from me.

But today the weather turned out beautiful so clean up has started.

Beautiful Bouquet

Well, it's been so long since I've posted anything that I'm not sure I remember how to do it.  I'm finally getting back into the swing of stamping.  This card uses some new product out of the new catalog.

The stamp set that I used is "Beautiful Bouquet" and the images were cut out using the new "Bouquet Bunch" framelits.  I wanted to have a ribbon on the cards but I don't have any Perfect Plum ribbon so I used one of the Bitty Bows in Lemon Lime Twist.  I used the Detailed Dragonfly thinlits to cut out the dragon flies.  The framelit has four dragon flies so I had to do a little trimming.  To get the different shades on the flowers I just stamped each flower twice without re-inking.
I'm looking forward to the weekend because it's Trading Days in Ashley.  I'll be having my retired stamp sale on Friday at Penny Lane in Ashley.  And if you need a new catalog be sure to stop in and get one.  I'll also have lots of give-aways.  I'm trying to clear out the shelves in the Paper Palace so that I'll have room for new things.

Beauty and the Beast

When I went to On Stage last week I was so excited to see these Beauty and the Beast cards.  I was thinking that it was really cool that Stampin' Up! and Disney collaborated with stamps.  WRONG.  Look closely and you'll see that these cards are punch art.  Some people are so talented and I wish I had written down the name of the person who did these cards.  And I'll probably never make any like these because I don't think I have the patience to figure them out.  But I think they're beautiful.

Sale A Bration is ending.

In just a little less than two weeks Sale A Bration will be all over.  Today Stampin' Up! added some new items to the free things that you can get with a $50.00 order.  So if there's something that you want it's time to get those orders in.  And just so you know some of the Sale A Bration items are already gone.  The tin for cards and the glimmer paper are all gone.  I'm so glad I got mine early.

And just a reminder that this Thurs is regular card class.  Come and have some fun.

Celebrate Easter

Way back at the beginning of the year I talked about doing some home décor classes.  You can see how speedy I am.  But here goes.  This Easter collage is beautiful and if you want one then come to a home décor class on March 20th. I'll have everything ready for you except the frame.  You'll need a 12 X 12 frame for this.  The cost for this class is only $15.00 so let me know if you're coming.  We'll be using the new glimmer paper out of the Sale A Bration flyer.  I'm really hoping that we'll see lots of new glimmer paper in the next big catalog that comes out in June.

Fairy Celebration

Have you ever fallen in love with a stamp set when you saw it in the catalog?  And then when you get it you draw a complete blank about what you're going to do with it?  I was that way with Fairy Celebration.  I love fairy's and so this set was one of the first one's that I got out of the new catalog last June.  And I finally got around to using it this week.  I needed a birthday card for a little girl and this seemed to fill the bill.  I think one of the reason's I've been hesitating to use it is because there's a lot of color that needs to be added.  On this card I used the new watercolor pencils.  Can I say that I love, love, love the watercolor pencils.  Once the image is colored it is so easy to blend it with a blender pen or an aqua painter.  I think it turned out pretty good even if I do say so myself.  Now I just need to figure out why my camera doesn't do better.

Sale A Bration # 2

I can't believe it's been so long since I've posted anything.  I've got to get into the groove.
Stampin' Up! has released a second set of Sale A Bration items.  These are the free things that you can get with a $50.00 order.

This first one is called "Reverse Words"

And here is some beautiful glimmer paper.  I love this and hope that there's lots more in the next big catalog.

And this last set is called "Make A Medallion"  I've seen some really cute cards done with this set but I don't have it yet.
Sale A Bration runs until the end of March so time is running out if you want any of these things.

More card class

Valentines Day is coming so here's a couple of cards that I've made.  The first one is from my last card class.  And you'll notice that the envelope is decorated and the inside of the card.

The above card is using some of the DSP out of the Occasions catalog called Sending Love.  The border beside the paper is made with a free stamp set out of Sale A Bration called Delicate Details and the greeting is an old one called Bloomin Love.  And by old I don't mean retired.  It's been around a couple of years and it's still one of my favorites.  It's a beautiful set.

And on this card I used the Bloomin Love greeting again with an arrow out of the Jan. Paper Pumpkin kit and a heart cut out of the Sending Love DSP.  I need to get busy and made a bunch more valentines because it's only 8 more days until Valentine's Day.  Are you ready?

Moon Baby

Here's one of the cards that we did last week at card class.  It's with a stamp set called "Moon Baby"  I've decided that we need to stamp the outside of the envelope and the inside of the cards.  So here you can see the back of the envelope with a cute set of toys from the same stamp set.  I haven't shown you the inside of the card because it won't show up.  It's just stars stamped in versamark.  In real life you can see them but they don't show up good in photography.  This stamp set is in the new Occasions catalog.  If you need a catalog please let me know and I'll get one to you.  Happy Stamping.

Card class

Do you need a break from this weird, winter weather?  I think that today's the first day in about five days that we haven't had fog but we still don't have sunshine.  So if you're looking for something to do come to the Paper Palace (my house) on Thurs to make cards.  Or you can go to Penny Lane on Monday.  We'll be making 8 cards, 2 each of 4 different designs, with envelopes.  And the cost is only $15.00 or free with a minimum order.  Or if it's your first time then the class is free.  Don't want to come by yourself then bring a friend.  The more the merrier.  The only thing I ask is that you let me know that you're coming so that I can have everything ready.  That's right, I do all the prep work and you just stamp and assemble.  So if the weather is getting you down come and have a fun break with me.

Card class

Card class is coming up this week and here's one of the cards and envelopes that we'll be making.  Come to the Paper Palace on Thurs or to Penny Lane next Monday and I'll show you how I did this card and envelope.  Just let me know that you're coming so that I can have everything ready.

Beautiful You, one more time

I'm sorry if you're getting bored with this stamp set but I love it so much.  And here I've paired it with another stamp set out of the Occasions catalog.  Mediterranean Moments is a great set and as someone who has been to Italy  it's very authentic.  And it works great with Beautiful You.  Here I stamped the girl and then masked it and stamped the background.  After I finished this one I thought that I should have made the umbrella red.  I think that would really pop the image.  I can hardly wait until next weeks card class when you'll get to use this set.

Hey, Chick

I've got more "Beautiful You" cards to show you but I decided to change things up a little with a valentine's day card.  Do you like chickens?  Then you're going to love the "Hey Chick" stamp set that is in the Sale A Bration catalog.  And the best part is that it's FREE.  That's right, free when you place a $50.00 order of other Stampin' Up! supplies.

Let me know if you want this set.  You can place an order at any time or come to my next card class and order something then.  The next class is Jan 26th.  Come and enjoy some time away from home.

Beautiful You, again

I am so in love with this stamp set.  It's the best.  On this card I used the new thinlit die called So Detailed.  There are three dies in the set and they're all beautiful.  It doesn't show up much in this picture but I used the stitched framlit oval behind the image.  I used our new watercolor pencils to color the dress.  I'm having lots of fun playing with the pencils and I haven't even broken out the watercolor paper yet.  The back ground paper was lots of fun.  It's just Whisper White card stock that I painted with a drop of re-inker and a couple of drops of water.  Put the drops on a clear block and mixed together.  Used my aqua painter to apply to the paper.  That probably wouldn't be a good technique for a class because it takes a while to dry but it was really fun to do and I like how it turned out.
Let me know if you need anything or you can always order from me on my Stampin' Up!  web page  http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/lynnschulz/

Beautiful You

Here's one more card made with Beautiful You.  Thanks to Fran Ward for this beautiful card.  She did the background with other stamps and the dress is paper pieced.  It's it beautiful.

Just remember that you can get this set out of the Occasions catalog and if you get it and need ideas just go to Pinterest and look.  There's lot of ideas on there.

More Beautiful You

Here's the third image of a woman in the set "Beautiful You"  I used the new water color pencils to color the image but it's hate to see in this picture.  The flowers are from a FREE stamp set called Avant Garden.  How can it be free you ask.  Well, it's out the Sale A Bration catalog and you can get it free with a $50.00 order.  Or you can pick one of 11 other free items.
