Christmas planner date change

Well, today I finally realized that there's no way I can have this class on August 8th so I've changed it to August 13th.  And here's a few pictures of what the planner looks like.  You'll get the planner, 3 rolls of washi tape and 3 sheets of stickers that you can use to decorate your planner.  All of this for only $21.00.

The three sheets of stickers.

There are many pages already printed in the books.  This page shows the sections that are in the book.

Here's the calendar pages.  I only put Dec in my book because then I can use the book for several years.

There's a section for decorations.

A section for entertaining, which to me means recipies.

And of course the covers need to be decorated and this is how I did mine.

Here's a picture of some cute cookies stuck in my book with washi tape.

And some home décor that I like.
So let me know by August 8th if you want to take this class.  It's only $21.00 and it won't take long to complete.  It's quick and cute.

July card class

I've had a very busy few days and it's not ending yet.  Card class last Thurs., two reunions this weekend and now I'm getting ready for a Christmas Stamp A Stack tomorrow.  Want to come?  Let me know ASAP because I'll be cutting paper this morning.
Here's the cards from last Thurs card class.  This first one is a tag holder, card holder, envelope or whatever you want to use it for.  When it's open there's a plastic bag in there.  I'm thinking that when we do the tag class we'll be making something like this to hold tags.  But it will also hold a couple of card and envelopes if you want to give someone a little gift.  Or you could just use it as an envelope if you want to.

This next card matches the envelope above.

And this next card was made using the card maker framelit that I won at convention.  It's a little hard to see in this picture but the label has a greeting on each side.  You see the other side when the card is open all the way.  I should have taken a picture of it.  I will take better pictures of the next card that I make with it.  The framelits will be available for sale on August 1st.  There's two different ones and the other one has a circle instead of this label shape.

And I'm still working on my Make and Takes from convention.  I'll be posting pictures as soon as I get them done.

Odds and Ends

Convention was a blast and it was over way to soon.  But what a way to celebrate.  Everyone won a prize in prize patrol and 25 lucky people won every single stamp set in the Holiday catalog.  Alas, it wasn't me.  But I won a fabulous new product that I can't post a picture of because it won't be released until August 1st.  There are several new things coming this fall.

Do you like these little votive holders?  They're much prettier in real life and we'll be making these for the Christmas Gifts class.

Here's a picture that I took at the Riverton office.  This building is beautiful.  And it's decorated beautifully.  I love the fans under the mantle piece.

And Ronald McDonald came to visit.  Stampin' Up! is a big supporter of Ronald McDonald Houses and Ronald came to thank us.  I've got the new Ronald McDonald stamp set.  We received it at convention.

And here's a really cute camper made out of card stock.  This was made by one of the artisan winners.

Keep watching for more pictures.  I'm to tired tonight to post any more.  I was up this morning at 4:30 Utah time.  Kind of relaxing having lots of time to get packed and have breakfast.  Then when I got to the airport it seemed to take forever to get through security because their new style scanner was not working right and I had to wait while they fixed it because if I go through the regular scanner my knee sets the alarm off.  Finally got through security and started for my gate.  Got about half way there and decided that something wasn't right.  I had looked at the wrong boarding pass and was going in the wrong direction.  Finally got to the right gate and they were already boarding.  Got everyone on the plane and then we just sat there.  Finally we got the information that the plane was overloaded and they wanted four volunteers to get off the plane.  It took about 1/2 hour but four people volunteered and then we got under way.  Only problem was that I only had 45 minutes between planes in Phoenix.  Got off the plane in Phoenix at 11:40 and my next flight was suppose to leave at 11:45.  Checked with the girl at the gate and she said that I lucked out because the next flight was also running late.  Didn't get in the air until almost 1:00.  So by the time that I finally got to Detroit and got to the parking lot it was already after 8:00.  And I was starved because all I had to eat all day was pretzels and peanuts.
But tomorrow will be better because I'm spending the night in Detroit and going to Ikea tomorrow.

Prize Patrol

One of the most exciting things at Convention is prize patrol.  Today Dianne Gill won a stamp set and a punch.

Sandi Dailey won the Bigz Die that makes the bows.  Laurie Ringle, Sandy Haynes and I all won new product but it wasn't even in town yet.  Hopefully we can pick it up tomorrow.  And I can't tell you what they are until they're released.

Ronda gives us a good morning hug every day.

I've got a ton of pictures to post but it'll take me a while.

Eleanor had lettuce wraps

Kristen had crab cakes.

Laurie had fish and Susan had a Santa Fe salad.

I had a Navaho sandwich and sweet potato fries.

And then came the cheese cakes.  This one is lemon raspberry.

Not sure what kind this one is but it looks delicious.

This is mine and it's white chocolate macadamia.

Tomorrow the convention gets underway.  A tour of the home office, lunch with Ronda and then the opening session and a social afterwards.

We're here in Salt Lake City enjoying the heat.  Well, kind of.  It's cool (73) this morning but of course it's only 7:35.  But yesterday it was 98 when we got here.  Sandi was ready to eat as soon as I got here so we went down to the restaurant.  After we gave the waitress our orders we waited about 1/2 hour and asked someone how long it was going to be and they said that the order was in and the cook was busy.  Well, we waited longer and noticed that people who came in after us already had their meals.  So we asked again.  Well, they couldn't find our order.  For some reason it never made it to the kitchen.  So our supper was free and we got vouchers for breakfast this morning.  So we're about ready to head down there.  And then we have to decide when to go to the mall.  I think we'll go this afternoon and then stay for supper.  Cheesecake Factory!!  I can hardly wait.  We went there last year and I was the only one who had the cheesecake.  It was wonderful.  Then tomorrow things get going.  Going out to the home office in the morning and lunch with Ronda in the afternoon and at 5:00 the doors open for our first session.  Well, we're going to breakfast and I'll take my camera with me and try to get some pictures.  Talk to you later.

This card is one that we did at one of Ronda's events and I used it for my card class.  The stamp set is Label Love and the matching punch is called Artisan Label.  The designer series paper is in the new catalog but I'm drawing a complete blank on the name.

I sent an email out tonight with information about the class calendar.  The biggest thing is that I've planned a Christmas planner class for August 8th and I'll need to know if you're attending by July 30th so that I can order supplies.  Watch this blog for more information and maybe some pictures.

Don't you all have someone who doesn't want to have another birthday?  Here's the perfect card.  It's from a set called Giggle Greetings.  There are four stamps and they're all a little 'not so nice'  I really like this set and the best thing is that I got it free.  I won it in a raffle at one of our meetings.  Just another of the perks of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator.

Christmas in July.

Last year at convention I heard someone say that they do a Christmas card every month at card class.  That way when it's time to make cards you've got some samples.  So I decided that I need to do the same thing.  If you come to my classes you'll always make a Christmas card.  Here's the card that we did last week at card class.  It's a total case of one of Ronda Wade's cards.  And it's not even a Christmas stamp.  The ornaments are stamped with the Mosaic Madness stamp set and punched out using the new mosaic punch.  The greeting is from the set Sweet Essentials.  The Cherry Cobbler layer was embossed using the mosaic folder.  Does this get you in the mood to make some Christmas cards?  Then you need to come to my Christmas Stamp A Stack on July 30th.  We'll be making 20 Christmas cards with matching envelopes.  Watch my calendar for more information.
