I'm back online!!!

Yea, I'm back online. I picked up my computer today and it's great to be back online. I used my brother's computer for a couple of days but it's just not the same as having one sitting here that I can get on anytime that I want to. However I did find lots of time to do other things while the computer was gone. Cleaned the shower and a few dresser drawers and the guest bath and sorted papers for tax time. But I'd much rather be online.
Anyway I had more time to stamp so I'm all ready for card class on Thurs and a workshop on Friday and Sale-A-Bration kickoff on Sat. Now I just need to clean up the Paper Palace and everything will be ready. Here's one of the cards that we'll be doing at card class. If you want to come just let me know ASAP.

Ever have one of those weeks??

Ever have one of those weeks? Mine started last Thurs when I didn't have any water. Then on Friday I found out that the neighbor man was in the hospital and wasn't doing well. Then on Sat. I heard that he died and also that a man from church died. Then on Sunday in church they announced that another man from church had died. So between visiting the funeral home and funerals it's not been a good week. And today I'm going to work at the last funeral so I won't be doing much stamping today.
But it's not all bad. I still have lot's of pictures from Leadership to share with you. Here's some from one of the demonstration booths. This lady, sorry I don't remember her name, must love to quilt because she had a huge display of quilts and other fabric art. What does it have to do with stampin? She cut out her pieces with the big shot. If you look close you can see the different dies that she used. The quilt were absolutely breathtaking.
These pins were fantastic. I don't know if I can do something like these or not. Maybe I'll get a chance to try sometime. Aren't they beautiful?

And this cute little onesie is just using using heat and bond to adhere the cutout. What a great way to personalize a plain garment.

I'm having a purse party!!

I know that this has nothing to do with Stampin Up! but I'm so excited about these purses that I decided to invite everyone I know. They're called Miche Bags. You can get a basic purse in either black or brown and then you can buy different colored shells that go on the outside of the purse. They use magnets to attach to the purse. There are two different sizes. I can hardly wait to get mine. You can check them out at www.michebags.com . So if you want to see them in person just come to The Paper Palace on Thurs, Jan 21 at 6:30. You have to order the purses but the demonstrator said she'll have lots of samples to see. Let me know if you need directions. I would love to have you come.

Finally got home on Weds. about 10:30 and decided it was time to post something here. The flight home was okay except we were held up in Chicago due to traffic in Detroit and then when we got to Detroit we ended up circling the city twice before we got to land. I was really glad to get home. But then I got up yesterday and had no water. So I thought that it must be really cold and the pump was froze. Turned the heater on in the well house. No luck. My nephew came over and crawled under the house and turned the heater on by the pipes. No luck. Finally decided that it was the pump and called a friend who knows about pumps. He checked it out and I need a new pressure switch. So he's coming back today to replace that.
I checked back on my blog and I never posted any pictures just of Phoenix so here's a couple. This one is where Dianne and I ate on Weds. It's called Cafe Joe's and we ate out on the patio. Very nice and the food was great. This St. Mary's church which is right next to the convention center. Very beautiful. We went inside and they still were decorated for Christmas.

These next three pictures were taken from our hotel room. These are all looking North away from the downtown area.

Now I need to get busy and put everything I learned into practice. But first I need to finish putting the Christmas decorations away. I didn't have time before I left and the tree is still up. Hopefully today will be a productive day.
My next post will have some of the swaps that I got at convention. We got a new stamp set out of the summer mini that is really beautiful but I'm not sure we're allowed to post pictures of it yet. I'll check it out and maybe post it. Take my word for it, it's beautiful.

Leadership is over

Let the vacation begin. Dianne, Laura and Gayle dropped me off in Glendale tonight at the candy store. But it was closed. Aunt Bunny picked me up and we headed for her house. Leadership was great. Compared to convention it was very quiet and more upscale. We ate very nice meals off of china. Beats the convention box lunches. Today at the last general session we all got a new stamp set that will be in the new catalog. It's very beautiful. Well, I'm tired so this will be it for a couple of days. I'll be home on Weds with lots of new ideas and I turned in a big order so I'll have lots of new things to play with. Let me know if you want to book a workshop during Sale-A-Bration.

More Momento Mall items

Here's what you can do with Decor Elements. This car is in the Momental Mall and it's really sharp. And here's the back window of the car. I got a Decor Element to put on the side windows of my van. We'll have to wait and see how it looks.

Here's the shopping bags that they have this year. I got a bunch of them, They're bigger than the ones they had last year.

Tonight we went to the Hard Rock Cafe for supper. Can you belive it's the first time I've been there. Just had a burger but it was really good.
This morning we had the alarm set for 6:30 but I got up at 5:30 to go to the bathroom and that woke Dianne up and then we couldn't get back to sleep so we finally got up before six and we were still almost late gettin to the convention center. Tomorrow our first class starts at 8:30 so we'll have to get going a little earlier.
The weather here is beautiful. Warm, warm, warm. Having a great time.

Here's a couple of the things that I got in the Momento Mall today. This is a ribbon sampler and a spray hand sanitizer.

And here's a watch with Stampin Up! ribbon for the band. It say's Stampin Up! on the face of the watch.

Today was a quiet day with only one session this evening. We got to watch some demonstrations and play with some of the new items in the new mini's.
Dianne and I went to lunch at a place called Sam's Cafe. It's Southwestern style food and it was really good. It's so warm and sunny here that we got to eat out on the patio. Wish you were all here. More pictures tomorrow.

Finally here

Well I finally got here. There was a little delay getting to Detroit this moring because of the weather. Had to get off the highway once because of an accident. Got to the airport, checked my bag, got through security and grabbed a bite to eat. Got on the plane and waited. And waited. And waited. Finally they announced that there was a problem with the baggage handler system. Finally took off about 50 minutes late. Had to change planes in Chicago and the flight was suspose to leave Chicago at 1:15. The plane from Detroit never landed until 1:15. But they had delayed the plane to 1:40. By the time I got to the right gate people were already lined up to get on the plane. Oh no, no time for lunch. Got on the plane and waited. And waited. And waited. Finally they announced that they were still loading baggage. Finally left at 3:00. So I was a little late getting into Phoenix. Called Dianne and she and Laura picked me up and we went right straight to the Old Spaghetti Factory. Really good food. Then we went to a Super Target. I didn't even know there was such a thing. Took Laura to her hotel and got here about 9:30. So since that's 11:30 Michigan time I'm ready for bed. Hopefully I'll get to take some pictures tomorrow. Good night.

Tomorrow starts Sale-A-Bration, or as we could call it, The Big Giveaway. Because for every $50.00 you spend from now until the end of March you get to pick a product out of the Sale-A-Bration mini. Notice that I said product. That's because there's stamp sets, designer series paper and a punch. And this year there's a bunch of stamp sets in the big catalog that you can pick as your free item. I know, I know, you haven't gotten your mini yet. But you will. In the meantime the mini's are posted on the right hand sidebar.

Friday, January 1, 2010

I hope everyone had a great New Year's Eve and now we're onto a great New Year. So to start off the new year I've added the Occasions, Sale-A-Bration and Decorative Elements to the side bar so that you can look through them until you get your mini's in the mail. They will be coming.
And here's a couple more cards from my last swap. This one is courtesy of Ronda Wade. It's using the stamp set called "Messages for Mom" out of the Occasions mini.

This card comes from Sandy Haynes and she used the Sale-A-Bration set called "Good Neighbor" and some of the designer series paper called "Welcome Neighbor". This paper pack is wonderful because there's 72 sheets of paper and you can get it free. Just ask me how.
