Here's another image from the stamp set called "Beautiful You". I cheated a little on this one. I didn't make this card, one of our Rubber Queens did but I don't know who. At our Christmas party we did a shoe box swap and this was one of the cards.

Sometimes Less is More
Here's another card made with a new stamp set out of the Occasions catalog. Sometimes less is more. This is a very simple card with a simple message. I was planning on making it only black and white but the greeting talks about brighter days so I decided to add a little color. It's from a stamp set called Beautiful You. I'll be posting more images out of this set because I love it.

So In Love
Here's a card using the new stamp set "So In Love" I'm in love with this stamp set. It's in the Occasions catalog and it comes with a set of thinlits so it's easy to cut out the flowers. I didn't make this card but I think it's beautiful and I'll probably be copying it at some time.
Keep watching for more samples out of the new catalogs. If you need a new catalog please let me know.

Cookie Cutter Christmas
Here's a Christmas set that I thinks everyone will love. It's definitely my favorite out of the Holiday catalog. There's five main images and they can all be cut out with the Cookie Cutter builder punch. But the story of my life, for some reason I don't have any cards made with the Santa or the teddy bear. How could I have missed Santa? I'll try and find a card with Santa and one with the teddy bear and post them tomorrow. Don't hold your breath. The third thing that I think goes really well with the stamp set and the punch is the oh, so cute Candy Cane DSP. You'll definitely see this set on my next Christmas Stamp A Stack.

Holiday Catalog
The Holiday catalog is now active. If you want to place an order with me today just let me know by 8:00 tonight. I've got my wish list all written out and believe me there's still lots of things on it. Last weekend I attended a Creative Convention in Okemos and I've got lots of new samples. I've got them all laid out on tables at the Paper Palace so you want to see them just stop in today. I've also got a lot of the new accessories and embossing folders and new thinlits. You can play with them if you want to. If you need a catalog just let me know.
The picture above is just cards and almost all of them are Halloween or Christmas.
This picture is of some of the treat holders that I received in a swap. I'll be using some of these ideas in the Holiday Treat class that I'll be having on Sept 29th.

Star of Light
You should be getting the Holiday catalog any day now. If you don't get one please let me know. I've already placed two orders out of the catalog and started playing with the stuff. Here's the first card I want to share. This stamp set is called Star of Light and there's a thinlet to cut out the images. It seems like a lot of the new stamp sets have thinlits to do the cutting. I love it.

At our Rubber Queens demo meetings Ronda always has a raffle and on Tues I won a stamp set called Baby Bear. And I got a big surprise with it. Tami Ackerson had put a couple of sample cards in with the set and here they are. Isn't this just the cutest thing? You'll be seeing more of this stamp set at my next card class.

Flourish thinlits.
Have you ever bought a stamp set or a framelit set because there was one image that you loved? Well, it happens to me a lot. For instance, here's the flourish thinlits. I love the larger floral image but I didn't pay much attention to the rest of the set. Then I started seeing other people's cards and projects that used other images from the set and I was hooked. So in order to see what's in the set I cut out everything and mounted them on black card stock. Now I can see them much better and I have a new favorite image. It's the long, narrow image at the bottom. For some reason there's not much ribbon in the new catalog but if you have a card that you think needs some ribbon then I think that this image is perfect.
And here's a card made with some of the images. It doesn't show up very well because it's white on Soft Sky but you can see how I used that "ribbon" image. I think I'll be using it a lot.

More Flourish thinlits
I posted early this morning about the big box made with Flourish thinlits. I've gotten lots of comments on Facebook and someone sent me a link for a video on how to make the treat holder and the tea light holder so here they are. The treat holder on the left will hold two truffles or a couple of nuggets. Great for a wedding or baby favor. The tea light holder is just the right size for a tea light.
Here's a close up of the tea light holder. I tried it a couple of different ways. I think I like the one with the cut out top. But the one with the straight top is easier to insert velum into.
Flourish Thinlits
We had a Rubber Queens meeting last night and I took this beautiful box for the Show and Tell table. Someone asked me how to make it so here are the instructions.
First of all you'll need the Flourish Thinlits. You can make beautiful cards and projects with this set. Just search on Pinterest and there are lots of ideas on there.
You'll need two sheets of card stock that are 7 1/4 X 9 3/4 and two pieces that are 4 3/8 X 4 3/8.
The two bigger pieces need to be scored on the long side at 1/2", 4 7/8" and 9 1/4. On the short side score at 3 3/4" and 6".
Then cut off the two lower, narrow pieces as shown in the above picture and cut the center score line up to the 3 3/4" score line. In the next picture you can see where I cut off the two corner pieces.
Now you're ready to run the cardstock and thinlit through the Big Shot. Just line up the thinlit so that it's even on the two sides and the bottom. This does leave quite a wide top but you need that to be sure that the box is sturdy. You'll need to run each sheet through twice. Now you'll see why there's a score line at 6". The card stock won't go through the Big Shot unless you fold the bottom up. When you get done you'll use the two square pieces, one on the outside and one of the inside of the bottom to re-enforce the card stock where it was folded.
When you have both pieces run through the Big Shot you're ready to put together. Just adhere the tabs together. But you don't want a tab on the outside so put it together so that the tabs are on the inside of the box. Hopefully the picture above helps you understand what I mean. You could then adhere this piece down but I didn't. Personal choice.
Now it's as clear as mud, right? If you have questions please let me know. I went on You Tube and Pinterest and couldn't find the original video but I know that there's one out there somewhere.

Christmas In July
Time is flying by so fast it's unbelievable. I finally looked at the calendar and decided that if I was going to do a Christmas in July class it had better be soon. So, Christmas in July will be on July 21st. Only at the Paper Palace because I don't have enough tables at Penny Lane. We'll be doing 20 cards. Not sure but I think that it'll be four cards each of five different designs and it'll include the envelopes. The cost will be $35.00 or free with a minimum purchase. I am planning on doing another Christmas class sometime this fall because the Holiday catalog will be coming out in Sept and I'm sure there'll be lots of new Christmas stamps.
So here is the first card. This stamp set is Joyful Nativity. I took this picture with my phone is it's not the best. This is Night of Navy ink on Whisper White card stock.
I'll be posting more pictures in the next couple of days.

Shadow boxes
Do you like these shadow boxes? They're made out of a single sheet of card stock. The ones at the top were made out of 12 X 12 sheets and the bottom one was made out of an 81/2 X 11 sheet. Would you like to make some? I think I'll offer a class on them. What do you think?

Paper Pumpkin Party
Welcome to my Paper Pumpkin Party. I really wanted to make a video but my cell phone has taken a grudge against me and won't let me upload pics or video's. So this is what you'll get. I want to introduce you all to Paper Pumpkin. What is Paper Pumpkn? It's a monthly subscription to a paper craft project. Or, as some people call it, a party in a box. Every month you'll get one of these cute red boxes with a project in it. And it has everything you need except some adhesive and a pair of scissors.
Every month is different and we never know what we'll get but it'll always be a paper craft.
Here's the May kit. Everything is in the box and even includes the instructions. Speaking from experience it's always worth while to read the instructions before you start. This kit has everything you need to make 8 cards and the envelopes are included.
Here's one of the finished cards. It's laying open because I just plain forgot to close it up for the picture. The card base's have 2 different lattice patterns on them. And there are 2 different sets of "Happy" stickers for you to use. And there are extra ones in the kit just in case you make a mistake. This kit has a stamp set with 20 different stamps. The stamps are always photopolymer stamps that you use with an acrylic block. The very first time that you sign up you will get a block in your first kit. But if you lose the block you can always buy another one.
And if you're a paper person you probably have lots of paper on hand and you can change the kit. Here's some examples of how people have changed the kit to something that they like better.
This first card show the second lattice design and uses a floral paper behind the lattice.
Don't like the orange background? Just change it to blue.
Here's a cute birthday card for a girl.
And here's a beautiful Christmas card that uses gold glitter paper behind the lattice.
So why am I showing you this now? Because there's a special going on and it's perfect for the person who's not sure if they would like this. Starting today, Thurs. June 9 at 7:00pm until Friday, June 10 at 11:50pm you can subscribe and get the first kit for only $5.00. Normally the kits are $20.00. If you want to take advantage of this deal be sure to enter the promo code "onedaydeal" You'll find the deal on www.paperpumpkin.com. If you decide to sign up please list me as your demonstrator.
Afraid that you won't like this and then you're stuck. Not so. You can go back to paperpumpkin.com and cancel your subscription at any time.
And I'm going to give you a chance to win a kit from me. Just comment on this post and I'll draw a name to win a kit and a cute bag to carry your kit with you. But I won't do this until after midnight tomorrow night so that everyone has a chance to win. If you don't win here be sure to visit me at the Women's Expo next Friday, June 17 in Ashley. I'll be doing a drawing again on that day.
These would make great gifts for someone else. Even young children like Paper Pumpkin. Don't like to craft alone? Get a friend to sign up with you and each month get together and have fun.
Have questions, post them here and I'll answer them.
Keep checking back because I'll be posting more pictures.
