About Me

Here's a fall wreath that I made today.  Sandi Dailey showed us how to make the leaves at our last demo meeting.  And it recycles the paper that we get in the boxes from Stampin' Up!  It's really thin brown paper but it worked great for the leaves.

Here's a close up of the leaves.  I cut them out on the Big Shot.  Then I inked the edges using a dauber and sponged the middle.  On most of them I used Cajun Craze on the edges and More Mustard on the middle.  Then I took the leaved and wadded them up as much as possible.  Then I straightened them out and laye them on a Chocolate Chip ink pad.  Then I used a clear block to press them onto the ink pad.  Some I just barely pressed and some I pressed really hard.  You can see the difference in this close up.  So now you can go and make a ton of fake fall leaves.  If you need some of the packing paper just let me know.  I have a lot of it.

  1. Oh my gosh Lynn!!! What an awesome wreath! Your leaves look more natural than mine, and adding SU's bird dye is just the right touch. I love how you took my demo and just ran with it to create something so unique!!

  2. Well I love the leaves. They even sound and feel like real leaves. Thanks for showing us.
