Christmas memory box

In the last quarter Stampin Up! had a recruit special going on.  If we got a recruit then we got this Christmas Memory Box kit.  Well, I got some recruits and I finally got my box put together.  I followed the instructions but I could have made it any way that I wanted to.  So here's the box.  It's about 7 1/2 X 5 X 2".  And I think that it turned out pretty good.  Now I wish I had a couple more to do for Christmas presents.  I'll have to look for some boxes somewhere.

Look at everything that was included with the kit.  There's a big pearl adornment, buttons, vintage tag, a jar of glitter, the ribbon, card stock, DSP, a whole sheet of pearls and, of course, the stamp set.

Here's a close up of the top.  There' three, ah, what-cha-ma-callit's.  I can't think of the right word.  The one on the left is just lace ribbon with a thread run through it and pulled up tight.  The middle one is three scallop circles, adhered together and then crumpled up.  The one on the right is just a strip of material that is adhered to the middle of a circle of card stock, then twist and adhere to the circle.  Then attached the circle to a scallop of the material.  ROSETTES!! That's the word that I was trying to think of.   See the green circle in the middle?  That's called a lolly and it's super simple to make the with Simply Scoring tool.  When I finished my box the instructions said to spray with adhesive and then add glitter but I decided to just use some Smooch ink in a spray bottle with some rubbing alcohol.

Then I spent about an hour fiddling with the software program for my new camera.  Still don't have it figured out but it's getting easier.  Then I spent about half an hour on the phone trying to get my sister's new cell phone activated.  Still not sure that it's working right.

  1. The box is beautiful Lynn!! Looks like it belongs in a fancy chic boutique store (hope I spelled that right???). I am so proud of how far you have gotten with your business, and you still have so much fun time! Nobody can ever say you are not enjoying your retirement -- you go girl!!
