About Me

These two cards feature the Rose Garden thinlits and the Rose Wonder stamp set.  They are both in the Occasions catalog.  The thinklit set has five dies in it and the stamp set has 14 stamps.  You'll be seeing the black and red card at my next card classs.

The rose is cut out of red glimmer paper as is the background for the greeting.

It doesn't show up in the picture but I used the Wink of Stella on the rose in this picture.  Wink of Stella just adds a little glimmer to things.  Or a lot of glimmer if you put to much on, which I've already done once.  But it looked pretty good.  Come to my next card class to see it.

Here's the delightful Blooming Heart thinlit that's for sale in the new Occasions catalog.  It makes beautiful hearts to use on cards or in scrapbooks.  The little flowers with the rhinestone centers are a separate flower thinlit that comes in the set.  So they could be made different colors or popped up to make them stand out.

And if you like cutting out detailed thinlits then you need to try the new Big Shot die brush.  Just run the brush over the cut out card stock and all the little bits of paper just jump right out of the design.  Well, maybe it's not that quick but you'll be amazed at how well it works.

Limited time offer.

Have you had time to look at the Sale  A Bration catalog yet?  There's some really cool stuff in there and you can get it free with an order.  But do pay attention that some of the things in there are only offered until Feb 15th and then they're gone.  Pages 16 through 19 are the limited edition items.  And here's one of them for you.  This set is called Sky is the Limit.  A great stamp set for making guy cards.  And with the little heart shaped cloud it can be a valentine's card as well.  You'll be seeing this card at my next card class.

Be sure and check out the Sale A Bration catalog to see what you want to get.

For Christmas I got a Cinch binding tool and I love it.  Thanks Neil and Annie.  Couldn't wait to use it so I braved the weather yesterday and went to Hobby Lobby to get some wires.

And here's my first project.  My weekly calendar that sits on my desk.  I made the covers out of chipboard and coved them inside and out.  It's real easy to use the machine and I'm looking forward to making lots more journals.  My family will probably get tired of journals.

And one of the great things about it is that I don't need to buy chipboard to use for the covers because I get lots of chipboard from Stampin' Up! and I always save it.  Now I know why I was saving it.

Wow!!  Here's the weekly deals for this week.  Stampin' Up! really knows how to help us get ready for Christmas.  I'll be buying lots of the glitter paper.  I love it for all seasons but especially for Christmas.  Let me know if there's anything you need or you can just go online and order it.  But remember that this deal only last until next Monday, Nov 30th.

I'm sorry that I've let this go so long.  I'm feeling totally overwhelmed.  It's less than two weeks until the North Pole Express comes to Ashley.  Is the shop ready? No.  Is the village ready?  No.  Am I ready?  No.  I need to be about three different people at the same time or find someone to help me.  I could use a house keeper.  They'd have to be a really hard worker.  I could use a secretary.  Someone to answer all the letters, write press releases and maintain some web pages.  And if there was someone who would just like to come and craft with me that would be wonderful.  Laurel went to a craft show last weekend and discovered that we have no wedding cards.  Need to do a little card making.  And then to top it all off Beth and I took a week to take Tiger to Disney World.  Now I don't regret that at all but it sure put us behind.  We had a wonderful time.  It's great to go with someone who hasn't been there before.  Well, they had been to the Magic Kingdom but it was at Christmas and they didn't get to see and do much.  This time we had the dining plan and fast passes so we did real good.  We ate like pigs, walked our feet off, spent money and had fun, fun, fun.
But now it's time to get down to the work.  I have one more class scheduled for this month.  Christmas tags.  We'll be doing the tags that are on page 5 of the Holiday catalog.  The class is Nov. 19th all day.  The cost will be $22.00 and you'll make 30 tags.  BUT you will have to respond by Nov 12, I know, this week, so that I can get everything ordered.
And here's a couple of cards for your enjoyment.
