Easter Basket

A couple of days ago I saw a picture of an Easter basket online that someone thought could be made out of card stock.  So here's my basket.

It's pretty simple but if you have any questions just send me an email and I'll try to answer them.

Sale A Bration ends on Sat so if there's anything that you want out of that mini you need to let me know as soon as possible.

Journals

I love making journals.  I usually think of travel when I think of journals and maybe that's why I like them so much but journals can be used in so many different ways.  Last Sat. there was a benefit for a little boy who has cancer and I made some journals to donate.  Here's the pictures.  They're aren't 100% Stampin Up!

Diagonal score pad

Do you have the Simply Scoring tool from Stampin Up? It's the best new tool to come along in a long time. It make scoring so easy. Especially if you have a lot of scoring to do. And now there's a diagonal plate that fits on top of the Simply Scoring Tool. It makes envelope so easy to do that everyone should have it. Just think about making envelopes to match your cards. Or make beautiful envelopes out of DSP like the one below on the top right.  As long as the post office can read the address you're okay.  It's kind of hard to see but there's a label on this envelope.  And if you don't want the whole envelop out of DSP then just cut some to line the inside of the flap like the one on the top left.

Here's the other side of the envelope made with DSP.  Isn't this just the neatest thing you've ever seen?  I can see wedding invitations made with matching envelopes, Christmas cards with red or green envelopes or just pretty note cards and envelopes.

Blossom Punch

The Blossom Punch is in the Occasions Mini.  There's a stamp set that co-ordinates with it that is called Mixed Bunch.  If you don't have this punch yet you should check it out.  Here's pictures of a couple of flowers that I made with this punch.

I'm not sure what kind of flowers these are but they are super simple to make.  I stamped the flower onto Whisper White card stock and punched it out.  Then I punched out the flower in Baja Breeze.  I curled the petals up a little with my bone folder and then layered the white on top of the blue.  Then I used dimensionals to adhere two of these blossoms back to back.  I put them on the wires from a bunch of flowers that I had pulled the blossoms off of.  So now I have a bouquet of hand made flowers.

And here the punch is used to make a daffodil.  You'll also need the 5 petal punch.  On the back part of the flower I curled the petals toward the center and then curled the very edge's back the other way.  Fold the petals of the 5 petal punch up to form the center of the daffodil.  I layered two of the 5 petal punced flower together here.

March card class

Here's a few of the cards that we'll be doing on Thurs.  Let me know if you want to come.

I know that these aren't great pictures but I really need a new camera.  Maybe after I find out how much Uncle Sam wants.  I haven't gotten a refund in several years.  But I can always hope.

Sneak Peek

At our last demo meeting we got to play with a stamp set, Designer Series Paper and a Big Shot die out of the new catalog that will come out in June.  So here's a sneak peek.  I don't remember the name of the stamp set but it's really cute flower.  The paper is called Summer Smoches (I think).

This picture is really light.  I need a new camera.

And look at this cute purse die.  It's big enough to hold about 7 Hershey Kisses.  So it would also hold a number of small gift items.  It would be so cute as shower favors and it's perfect for Mother's Day.
