Stamp Camp samples

Here's a couple of samples of cards that we'll make at stamp camp on March 26th.

These are simple cards that have no greetings on them.  When you need a card you just grab your Teeny, Tiny Wishes stamp set, white or vanilla card stock and the word window punch and add an appropriate greeting.  These cards are also easy to ramp up with maybe a background stamp or an embossing folder, brads, buttons, glitter or anything else that you can think of.  Just let me know if you want to attend this class on the 26th of March.

Workshop cards

Here are the cards that we're going to do on Sat. at my St. Patrick's Day party.  If you want to make these just come on Sat between 9:00am and 5:00pm.

Treat Tubes

I've been slow about updating this blog lately.  It seems like I get on a roll and then "boom" something happens and I miss out on updating.  Well, my excuse is just that I'm really slow and I've been busy getting ready for a couple of workshops.  I had a workshop Monday night and one of the things that we made was a cute little treat tube.

These are really easy to make and since Easter is coming up soon you will have time to make a bunch of them.  You will need the Fancy Flower punch to make them.  Start with a piece of card stock that is 4 3/4" by however long you want the tube to be.  In this picture the pink and brown tube is 3 1/2" and the white tube is 4" long.  Then the easiest way to score this is with your Simply Scoring Tool.  What?  You don't have one?  They are simply the best tool that you'll ever own.  Well, if you don't have one then you'll have to use your old scoring method.  Score it on the short side at 7/8, 1 3/4, 2 5/8, 3 1/2 and 4 3/8".  Then fold on the score lines and adhere it.  You'll have a short piece that will overlap.  You should use sticky strip to adhere because it needs to be very sturdy.  Decorate the tube however you would like.  Now here's where the flower punch comes into play.  Punch two flowers out and fold the petals down.  Lay the flower on top of the tube and adhere the petals to the sides of the tube.  Repeat for the other end after you've added a treat, or a little gift or if you're really mean don't put anything in it.  It will hold 5 - 6 Hershey kisses.  And there should be room for lip balm, a hankie, maybe some nail polish.  Use your imagination.  I put a ribbon hanger on these but you wouldn't have to.  You could also add a tag with some Bakers Twine.  Just think how cute they would be hanging on an Easter tree.  Or at Christmas time on a Christmas tree.  The possibilities are endless. 

A Masterpiece

Tiger was here the other day and he decided that he wanted to make something.  So here's his masterpiece.

Last year I wanted to make a message board using a picture frame so my sister bought me some old frames at a yard sale.  This one had plastic instead of glass and the dry erase markers wouldn't wash off.  So it's been sitting around and I decided that Tiger might as well have it.  He worked long and hard on this picture.  Not sure what it is but I'll save it just in case he becomes famous someday.  Or until it embarress' him and he insists that I get rid of it.

Spring Fever cards

I thought that I would post yesterday but sometimes things don't go the way that you want.  Aside from the weather I had a dentist appointment.  I'm getting a new crown and yesterday was the first step.  Usually takes about an hour but there was an emergency came in so I was there for two hours.  Finally got out of there and had to go to Auto Zone and get a new windshield wiper.  You know how it is, I knew the wiper needed to be replaced but I had to wait until it was raining.  Then I ran to Wal-Mart.  There's always something there that I need.  Finally got something to eat and came home.  Well, my mouth was sore enough that I took some Tylenol and fell asleep on the couch.  And my mind totally forgot about updating this blog.  So here goes.  These cards were made from the Simply Scrapping kit called Spring Fever.  And there's still some die cuts left so I'll probably make some more cards.
