Holiday treat holders.

At my card class last week I gave everyone a Halloween treat.  These treat holders are really simple to make and can be made for any occasions just by switching out the paper.  I was going to be real ambitious and type out the instructions but it didn't happen so I decided to post them here.

So you start with a piece of paper that 6" by 41/2"  I like the dimensions because you can cut your 12 x 12 paper up or use one of the new paper stacks that are 6 x 6.

Score the paper at 1", 2", 3" and 4".  You'll have 1/2" left to adhere and make a square container.

Then I cut the notches all the way around on both ends using my envelope punch board.  I notched the paper at 1 1/2" from each end.

Then you just fold the ends in like this.  Tie it with ribbon or twine and it's ready to go.  Of course you have to put some extra décor on it so I just used one of the little bottles out of the Sweet Hauntings stamp set.  This size of container holds a mini candy bar or the fat tootsie rolls.  If you have something longer or wider that you want to put in the holder just adjust the size of your paper.  Remember that the sides need to be the same width.  Kind of a variation on the 2, 4, 6, 8 box.

Here's last month's Paper Pumpkin offering.  There were three boxes and six cards with envelopes in the kit.  Very beautiful in real life. And so very easy to put together.  You'll just need some adhesive to make everything in the box.

It's kind of hard to tell in the picture but there's gold on both the boxes and the cards.

More "All Ye Faithful"

Here's three more cards done with the stamp set "All Ye Faithful"  I did the first one but the last two were done by other stampers and I got them in a swap.  I just love this set.  I'll be making some tags with this set too.

O Come All Ye Faithful

This stamp set is probably my favorite set out of the new Holiday catalog.  It's called "All Ye Faithful" and it comes in either wood mount or clear mount.  Let me know if you want it or you can click the "shop now" button and order it yourself.  The wood mount item # is 139898 and the clear mount item # is 139901.  There are four stamps in the set, the images that you see here and one phrase that says "O, come all ye faithful"  I think it's the perfect Christmas stamp.  I'll post some more pictures tomorrow.

My next class is on Sept 17th and we'll be making the "Tin of Cards" project kit.  It includes 16 cards and envelopes and a cute tin with dividers to put the cards in.  Keeps your cards organized and handy or the Tin of Cards makes a great gift for someone.  This class must be registered for by Sept. 14th.  The cost is only $30.00, or if you want the stamp set too then the price is $47.00.  Let me know if you want to take this class.
