Here's a Halloween garland that I made. I was inspired by the Christmas garland that's in the catalog on pages 28 and 29. My garland isn't as long because I only wanted it to go over the window. It's not entirely Stampin Up! because I wanted the orange and deep purple glitter on it. I think it really dresses it up.

Here it is October already and I finally decided that I need to do some landscaping around the paper palace. Doesn't that sound grand. What I actually did was to rake the dirt down level and started laying the paving stones for a path. I didn't get a lot done but at least I started. I'll keep working on it a little bit every day. I hope. I need to get someone to put up a yard light so that this winter we'll be able to see where we're at when it's dark. There's lights by all of the doors but they don't shine very far down the driveway.
Saturday I went to Tiger's birthday party but it rained so much that everyone had to stay inside. The theme was baseball. There was a big sign out in front of the house that said "welcome to Russell field, home of the Tiger". Then he spent the night with my sister and after church yesterday we went to Mickey D's for lunch. He liked the playscape but he's to little to climb up by himself and my sister and I declined to go with him. There was a little girl there who tried to help him climb up but she wasn't much bigger than him so she couldn't lift him. One of these days he'll figure it out.
Anyway here's the last of the make n takes from the Holiday Hoopla. This is a scrapbook in a box. Or I've heard it called an explosion box. This is what it looks like when it's open. You can put pictures on each square of color and the middle square lifts up for another picture.
And here it is shut up with the lid on. You can put a present inside and have it do double duty. It's perfect for a Christmas present.

Here's two of the make n takes that we did last Saturday. It's a little gift bag and four little note cards that fit in the bag. What a great gift to give someone. And there's a little stamping on these. That's the Sparkly and Bright stamp set on the cards and the Christmas Punch set on the bag. And they're backed with punched out pieces that really makes them pop. More tomorrow.

It might save my life.
Split Coast Stampers is having a contest and the grand prize is a beautiful storage unit by The Original Scrapbox. So tonight I submitted my entry. I would so much love to have one of these units. For those of you who have never seen the Paper Palace here are the photo's that I submitted. Don't you think that I need something to help me get organized?

Here' a couple more cards from last Thurs. card class. This one uses one of the Sizzix texture plates. I had a hard time trying to ink up the texture plate to get the color on it so I finally gave up and ran the card stock through the Big Shot and then added the color with a brayer. It was hard to get the color even but it looks better than it did when I tried inking up the plate.
This is just Soft Suede and Whisper White card stock and the pine cone is from the Autumn Days stamp set.
This next card is a very simple back and white card with the Music Expressions stamp set.
I will be posting some pictures of the Make n Takes that we did Saturday at our Holiday Hoopla. We used a half of a Simply Scrapping kit and make the cutest Christmas cards and a beautiful scrapbook in a box. You'll love it. Jan Tink was our guest speaker and she showed us some beautiful tea light holders that we'll be doing some time at card class. You should check out her web site if you have time. www.jantink.com . She's a great stamper and has the most beautiful cards and she's so funny. We spent most of the time laughing.
