Here's a picture of Janet Wakeland's Paper Pumpkin bags.  So you can dress them up even more than the instructions.  So if you're creative you can really do a lot with the Paper Pumpkin kits.

A box using the envelope board.

I love it when people figure out many uses for one item.  I just wish it was me.  So here's the instructions and a couple of pictures of boxes that I made with the envelope board.  I found this online somewhere.  You start with a piece of card stock that is 6" X 6".  Then you score each side at 2" and 4", being sure to put the notches in.  It will look like this.  Well, not with the lines drawn on.  I did that so that you can see them better.

Now you're going to cut some flaps.  See the next picture.  I hope that it's really clear to you because I don't know how to write it up.  If you have a problem just let me know and I'll try to help you.

So now that you have your tabs cut you're going to adhere the box together. You only need adhesive on the flaps that you just created.  I really need to try a video because it would be so much better to just show you.  Anyway you should end up with a box.

And here's one that I did.  I stamped all over the card stock before I scored and cut it.  I used the big stamp out of the set Creative Elements.  I sponged all the edges of the box.  The card stock is Sahara Sand and I used the same ink.  Then I punched out some Petit Petal flowers and sponged them also.  Add a little leaf and some pearls and it's good to go.  I used Very Vanilla seam binding and sponged it with Sahara Sand.  I think it turned out really cute.

And of course I had to try a couple more sizes.  I put my snail there so you can get an idea of the size.  The box on the left starts with a piece of card stock that is 4 1/2" X 4 1/2".  Score it at 1 1/2" and 3".  The little box is a piece of 3" X 3" scored at 1" and 2".  I had to trim the points down a little to get everything to fit.  I tried a bigger box but the size of the envelope board kink of prohibits a bigger box.  I did one but it didn't turn out as nice.

I almost forget to show you this.  I punched a hole in two opposite sides of the top and then used my bone folder to curl them a little before I threaded the ribbon through.
And just so you know, we'll be doing a box (not this one) at my next card class.

Paper Pumpkin

Stampin' Up! has revamped the Paper Pumpkin kits and here are the Jan and Feb kits.  These first two pictures are the Jan kit.  There were 4 cards with envelope's, stamps, ink and a whole pack of the In Color boutique detailsincluded.  Which I notice I didn't use on any of these cards.

These first two cards were made according to the directions but the next two I change up a little bit.  The printed side of the card stock is on the inside of the card in these first two but I thought that the printed side was to pretty not to use as the front of the cards.

And here is the Feb. kit.  There's five of these bags in the kit and enough supplies to make more of the banners.  The bags measure 8 1/5" X 5 1/2" and are about 2 1/2" wide.  You could put quite a few cards with envelopes in a bag or just use it to put a present in.  The bags are nice heavy paper so they should hold up very well. You can't really tell in this picture but there's metal gromets to thread the ribbon through.

Here's a close up of the circles.  The only stamping on here is the green disc.  There are two stamps and the other one is stripes.  The letters are preprinted on the white circles.  Just pop them out and stick them on.

The Paper Pumpkin kits are only $19.95 a month and that includes shipping and handling.  So if you think this is something you would like just go to   www.mypaperpumpkin.com  and subscribe.  You can quit at any time or you can just suspend your subscription if there's a month when you know you won't want it.

Here's one of the cards that we'll be doing at card class this week.  It uses the new Hexagon Hive thinklits, Watercolor DSP, Petite Petals stamp set and the Petite Petals punch.  I love the Watercolor Wonder DSP and we'll be using it on a couple of cards.  Be sure and let me know if you're coming so that I can have everything ready.

Today I want to show you the new personalized stamp from Stampin' Up!  It's a round stamp and you can personalize it however you want.  You can go online and play with it and see what you can do.  The item # is 132852.  You can go into the ordering system and enter that number.  Then you'll get a page that looks like this.

And this is where the fun begins.  Whatever you enter on the line for "first name" is the curved text at the top.  Whatever you enter as "last name" will appear in the box.  The "monogram" will be the center text behind the box. and the "address" will be the curved text at the bottom.  I did do a name and address stamp for myself and then I tried some other things.  Here's samples of what I tried but let your imagination run wild and see what you can come up with.  I'll be posting some more pictures of these stamps on the Paper Palace Facebook page.  Check them out and then let me know what ideas you can come up with.

Once you start working with this the ideas will come fast and furious.

Valentine's Day is coming and I haven't been making any cards or anything so I need to get busy the next couple of days.  I hope you're ready because it's coming soon.  I did have time to make some of these little baskets.  I made them for the craft ladies last Sat.  I just cut two hearts and embossed the front one and then added some hearts.  The little butterfly is punched out of the glitter paper and then colored with ink.  I used sticky strip on the lower edges and added a ribbon handle.  I put a couple of chocolate hearts inside and it was done.  So if you want something fast and simple this is it.  You could even get help from a little person.  Tiger loves to punch things out so I just give him a punch and some paper and he goes to town.
